PaveItBlue Host Campaign Race Rally For Jon Ossoff on 4/8
Goal To Increase Democratic Voter Turnout in Georgia’s 6TH District

Roswell, GA – PaveItBlue, a grassroots organization committed to turning historically red districts blue, will host a district-wide visibility rally on April 8th from 11 AM to 1:30 PM to promote the Democratic front-runner in the upcoming special election, Jon Ossoff. Democrats in this normally conservative leaning area are feeling a great deal of energy as there is a real possibility that their candidate can win.

Jon told CNN Political journalist Eric Bradner, “I think Atlanta can become — and Georgia can become — an economic powerhouse. I think that people here want access to more affordable health care choices. And I think people here are concerned that we’re losing sight of those values.”

Nine other grassroots organizations across metro Atlanta are joining the effort to turn street corners blue and raise awareness to get out the vote on April 18th. Jen Cox, co-founder of PaveItBlue, stated, “The women in PaveItBlue are more energized than ever. We feel a sense of responsibility to see that our district turns blue and are answering that call to action.”

The PaveItBlue Facebook group now has over 1K members, three weeks after forming. Lesley Bauer, co-founder of PaveItBlue, said “There is so much energy on the ground in Georgia’s 6th district right now – and the ground game is led by women. Thousands of women – talking to our neighbors on the streets, calling friends on the phone, knocking on doors, putting signs in yards. We are committed to seeing this through to a victory!”
